Once inside a page, you’ll notice that you can start typing anywhere—Notion uses a flexible system called blocks.
Every piece of content you add—whether it’s a paragraph of text, an image, a checklist, or a table—is a block.
To add different types of blocks, simply type / (slash) to open a menu of options. For example, type /todo to insert a checklist, or /heading to add a section title. This block-based approach makes it easy to build rich, interactive notes that fit your style.
Navigating the Sidebar and Organizing Your Pages
The sidebar on the left side of your screen shows all your pages and sub-pages in one place. You can drag and drop pages to reorder them, create nested pages to group related content, or use folders to keep everything neat and accessible.
This simple but powerful navigation system means your workspace grows with you but never feels cluttered.
